The equipment needed will be acquired through Estonian businesses. Five pump kits along with other equipment meant for cleaning out wells and pumping water from basements will be sent as aid. Concrete needs for additional equipment will be evaluated by the experts being sent. The experts will also deliver the aid, give basic training, and analyse the situation, which will give Estonia the opportunity to support Moldova's ability to come to terms with the effects of massive flooding. Estonia is giving Moldova 857 000 kroons (54 770 EUR) to help the country handle the aftermath of the flooding and to help the victims of the floods. The money was allocated from the Foreign Ministry's budget for development and humanitarian aid. < Source: Government of Estonia > |
