Moldova`s parliamentary elections will be monitored by 200 OSCE representatives

Over 200 representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will monitor the parliamentary elections in Moldova, 32 experts from Monday to watch election campaign, said an organization official, quoted by Itar-Tass on page Online.

The 200 experts will arrive in the country on election day, November 28 to observe the voting and counting votes, said Peter Eicher, head of OSCE Election Observation Mission to Moldova. In the first month after the elections, the OSCE will present two preliminary reports and final report will be released on January 28, Eicher said.
He said that these elections are very important, aiming at solving the political crisis in the country. In addition

This is the third row of parliamentary elections held in Moldova in the last two years, after lawmakers failed to elect the head of state with three fifths (61 of 100). When Communist deputies voted for the president, the opposition boycotted the election, and the roles were reversed after repeated parliamentary elections, the situation remains the same.
Liberal coalition parties fell threshold from five to four per cent, after coming to power, again allowing
formation of electoral coalitions, even if the alliance parties will participate in the elections on their own. It was also dropped proportional distribution of the mandates system of parties that have not passed the threshold.
