All about drawing passport through the embassy

Since 30.12.2005, the validity of passports of citizens of the Republic of Moldova is not extended.

Citizens of Moldova, whose validity has expired or expiring passport, is to legalize a new passport. There are three ways to obtain the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova:

1. Issuing passports in Moldova:

ο applicant's presence in Moldova is compulsory;
ο list of necessary documents can be consulted on the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies.

2. Issuing passports by proxy:

ο attorney to be issued at the Embassy;

ο such proxy shall be issued to citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the basis of one of the following valid identification documents: passport or national identity card;

ο attorney, together with all necessary documents to be submitted personally by the applicant authorized person;

ο list of necessary documents can be consulted on the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies.

3. Issuing passports through the Embassy:

ο completing such a passport can only be carried out by Moldovan citizens who hold valid identity card Moldovan;

ο applicant shall pay in advance so the consular fee and passport fee for making the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies.

ο average time for obtaining passport through the Embassy is two months;

ο person requesting passport drawing appear in person at the Embassy;

valid passport is 10 years.
