December 21, 2012 is considered the last day of the Mayan calendar and thus ziu and when comes the end of the world. But two German scientists, Bohm brothers, revealed in a publication of the journal Astronomische Nachrichten, the date of the end of the world is wrong. According MaxiSciences after performing a new calculation of the Mayan calendar, Bohm brothers found that the calculations were done wrong because they were not taken into account in calculating its criteria.
So they say the world is the year 2116 end date, this means that we have respite since 104 years. In the study conducted by Bohm brothers were taken into account other calendars used by the Maya civilization: the agricultural calendar of 365 days, a religious version of 260 days, a schedule of nine days and a cycle of 1,872,000 days. To rewrite period Maya civilization, they compared these calendars and events concordantele of the Christian calendar. For Gerardo Aldana, University of Santa Barbara, it is impossible to predict accurately the exact time and certainly when the Mayan calendar ends.
