Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption has started checking the legality of the use of budgetary funds and loans under state guarantee on construction and repair of national roads.

According to CCECC, during the years 2007 - 2009, the state budget through the State Road Administration, currently subject to the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure in repairing the national routes have been allocated 771 million. Lei, rehabilitation works being carried out routes: Chisinau - Leuseni Rezina - Calarasi, Stefan - Voda - Palanca, Moldova - Hincesti Ustia - Molovata, Mihailovca - Sagaidac - Perjii Valley.

Despite considerable investment, the state remains a national route continue to be deplorable, causing substantial damage to carriers.

At the initiative of the Centre, jointly with the State Construction Inspectorate and other institutions responsible for conducting the expertise in construction, have been checked and verified in further justification of investments and compliance to regulatory requirements in construction work and standards.

In this technique was considered state of the asphalt layer and vertical concrete samples for laboratory examination.

The preliminary results of the checks that nonconformity is found with the system rehabilitation projects and real operating conditions of the roads, budgetary resources are used irrationally. As a result, rehabilitation objectives require additional investment to remove defects that have occurred in the operation, which is actually prejudiced by the state budget.

Center already investigating a criminal case, the constituent elements of the crime started as specified in Art. 257 of 3 d) of the Criminal Code on the enforcement of low-quality solutions with deviations from the project contrary to the rules provided for the rehabilitation of Route Mihailovca - Perjii km Sagaidac-Valley 21-36. The work was carried out by the general contractor LLC expectancy, cost of works is estimated at 669,000 lei 17 million, paid by the state budget.

Initial inspections will be completed with the assessment of criminal procedural law through the actions of officials responsible for the inefficient management of public resources, as well as entrepreneurs who have illegally increased volumes of work.
