Day on 02 March was proclaimed by the Moldovan Parliament Remembrance Day Transnistrian war heroes. 19 years ago, on March 2, 1992 Kazakhs of Transnistria began an armed attack on villagers Cocieri Dubasari district and opened fire on civilians in armored cars.

Shortly after the conflict has gained momentum and thousands of people have fought for the integrity of Transnistria Razboiull country. Because at that time Moldova was not allowed to hold her own army, Moldovan President Mircea Snegur authorized a military intervention against the forces of rebel troops responded with police. On the other hand, fought the Cossacks, Russian and Ukrainian volunteers helped by Soviet troops managed to consolidate control over most of the disputed area. On 21 July 1992 the authorities in Chisinau and in Tiraspol have signed a ceasefire agreement. Official data show that the war was attended by approximately 29,000 persons, of whom 286 had died or were missing, while 284 remained invalids.
