In Moldova, one in three children has a parent or parents abroad. In the countryside even one in two. They call them orphans immigration: their mothers, who often start to come to Italy to do the caregivers have entrusted them to relatives and friends. But since the material living conditions are appalling, many end up in reality in the 'internat' colleges are very similar to genuine orphanages, why, to help carers of children this year, Caritas Ambrosiana opens two yards of solidarity: a 'experience of volunteering for young people between 18 and 20 years. Moldova will be two projects: the first will be held from 1 to 15 August in the countries of Coscalia and Caplan. The second August 3 to 17 in countries Ucrainka and Rosu. Rosu is not any one country. And 'the country of carers. Since the early '90s, one at a time when women are all gone. The vast majority came to Italy. Usually take care of the elderly. And the children leave home. For the volunteers will work closely with humanitarian organizations and help with recreational activities play the children in kindergartens or parish inmates in orphanages. But there are plenty of projects to promote family reunification. Registration is already collecting these days (there is a contribution of 700 euros). This year in addition to Moldova you can choose from 11 different destinations abroad and three Italian destinations. You can go to Bulgaria to serve the soup kitchen of the parish of Malchik, on the border with Romania, Montenegro to assist people with disabilities, but also in Kenya with street children in Nairobi, with refugees in Lebanon, Thailand with the tsunami victims. Do not miss South America, with experience in Bolivia, Nicaragua and Peru.
Also interesting Italian destinations: Palermo (from July 25 to August 8) to help with the activities of the soup kitchen, the recreation center and center for the disabled run by Caritas, Florence (from 25 July to 5 August) to deal with the major hosted marginalized in day-care center run by Caritas Florence and help foster parents of children in distress in family homes; in Pozzuoli (2 to 17 to 18 August) to work with the center for disabled persons to accompany the boys to the sea and the summer center run by Caritas Pozzuoli. If departures are between July and August, however, is already 'briefing in Milan Via San Bernardino 4.
