A tourist from Austria had to pay a fine of 1,200 euros for a bag of brand purchased from a vendor peddling counterfeit, according to newspaper Corriere del Veneto, quoted by RIA Novosti.  "Tourists think that these vendors do a favor, but actually contribute to the development of criminal organizations that exploit migrant workers. We will fight mercilessly such crimes," said Andrea Bocco, security adviser to the city. [Time] |
