How to make money at home, near family?

Business Consulting Institute, in partnership with ProRuralInvest and the Foundation for Economic Development and European Integration (Romania), have launched a special project to encourage the Moldovan citizens working abroad to their own business înfiiţeze.

The project is called "Encourage innovative use of remittances in productive rural investment" and is supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

The project helps the country returned migrants and those who receive their remittances to develop entrepreneurial and managerial skills and to put up a business.

Remittances (or money transfers from abroad) plays an important role in Moldova's economy, constituting 36% of GDP. In rural areas, the share of remittances in total product is even greater, being an important and stable source of income for more than 25% of localities and a key factor in preventing poverty. However, according to statistics, only 7% of the total volume of remittances are invested in businesses that generate new revenue.

In order for remittances to contribute effectively to increase citizens' welfare and the national economy, the authors propose a solution that this project is to establish an own business. To this end, we provide all the necessary consultation for those interested in launching and managing such deals, which would make remittances in new revenue.

Who is this project?

1. Families with difficult financial situation, usually from rural areas, which maintained the money received from relatives abroad, ie the so-called remittances;
2. Persons who have returned home to work abroad;
3. People who work abroad and send money to families and relatives back home.

What district includes the project?

This project is conducted in the central region Repulbicii Moldova and comprises 12 districts, as follows: Noi, Calarasi, Criuleni Dubasari Hincesti Ialoveni Nisporeni Rezina Straseni Şoldăneşti, Telenesti and Ungheni.

What action is the action?

1. A study on "Directions timely financial investment and human capital;
2. Development Guide for starting a business "and its distribution in 3,000 copies;
3. Training to launch a business for at least 500 people;
4. Registration and launch of 100 businesses with business plans;
5. After-launch business for all business initiatives by June 2012;
6. Editing brochure "Good business practices" and distribution of copies in 1000;
7. Three study visits to Romania for 50 beneficiaries of the project.

Interested in the project to launch their own entrepreneurial activity will be trained how to start businesses will be helped to register the business and will have developed a Business Plan. Those who wish to access alternative sources of financing or bank loans will receive all necessary assistance. New entrepreneurs will be granted after the establishment of business support by June 2012.
