The wave of protests began in the Middle East, has reached even into North Korea. For the first time in history after the Stalinist regime, citizens groups have protested in three cities of the country, demanding to be given food and electricity. Demonstrations erupted in cities Jongju, Yongchon and Sonchon, not far from the border with China on February 14, two days before Kim Jong-Il. State Security Department (the agency under the leadership of Kim Jong-il) investigated the incident but failed to identify those who started the noise, because they met a wall of silence. When a similar incident occurred in the past, people fear, they betrayed the security forces revolted, but now they cover each other. This represents a change in the mentality of North Koreans. The worsening economic situation, lack of food and very low level of living is definitely a reason these radical changes. Another reason may be the changes in charge and the North Koreans are willing to do almost anything to stop the sequence and the coming to power of dictator unite "thirsty for fresh blood.
